To break through in politics, it entices you to a warm place in Brussels or you want to take a journalism career? It will be determined by Faculty of Social Studies in Brno. Many candidates struggle pays for space on the school in advance. Haunted by the amount of applications filed, and received a small percentage of difficult entrance examinations. But every obstacle can be overcome. You know how to do it.

Faculty of Social Studies has long been famous for its inaccessibility, said the numbers – even before last to accept only 8–12 percent of applicants. The noticeable change occurred last year when the institute moved from substandard building on Gorky Street in the newly refurbished premises in the city center. School to the delight of all prospective students increased the capacity of individual fields of study. And the result is definitely more optimistic than in previous years: to test the 6895 candidates attended last year, the rector gave a green 1245 of them. Thus 18 percent of accepted applicants.

I keep saying it's not enough? The chance to increase the likelihood of adoption is a good choice of subjects. Faculty, unlike their colleagues in Prague launches two-field programs (only the main programs such as International Relations and Political Science can be studied separately). You can not be studied only as a journalist in Prague. If you submit an application in Brno on the field of international relations, be aware that the test you have to really shine. Just as Ivan Hornik the corruption scandal, advised: „You need luck to go over there.“ This does not mean that everyone around you bribed. We recommend that you go through the „adoption statistics“: http://www.muni.cz/…/result.html in different combinations of fields and arrange accordingly. For example, with a combination of journalism and environmental studies will have a better chance to succeed.

How to look at all the entrance exams? They consist of a general study of the test trials (OSP) and Principles of Social Sciences (SES). Faculty development trust you with the entrance of Scio, whose website you can test your skills or to order a set of tests. It's good natrénovat OSP. This is a national comparative tests, which can be understood as a warm up. If you can do better than the traditional entrance examinations, the FSS will be counted this outcome. So you have two attempts. In fields such as journalism, social work get plus points for the practice, which certainly are not negligible and may decide.

Study of the FSS is not difficult, and students of other faculties silently envious of evaluation in some subjects (up to 12 credits!) However, do not think it's cakewalk. The preparations of some tests you spend a few sleepless nights and subjects usually require ongoing training during the semester (essays, books, tests).

Students have much to complain about little experience in certain fields and organizational confusion in education. However, these exports have good access professors and a new luxury building, where you can find almost everything. We look forward to new classmates!
