Tempted fields with economic orientation, but also care about creativity? So maybe for you, there is a new field called economic journalism, which opens next academic year for those interested in Ostrava, Faculty of Economics, VŠB – Technical University (TU). This is a very unique field. Nothing like this has no offers from Czech universities and may not even need to study in Austria and Germany. A deadline? End of March!

The new three-year Bachelor degree should help students to orientate themselves in the basic economic problems and also prepare them for work in mass media such as newspapers or television. Economic Journalism arose mainly because the editors who work in economic newsrooms are often problems in that little extra focus and fail to present it very clearly. The subjects that are taught in the field, is the third focuses on journalism, a third of the economy and are mandatory subjects of social background. The field is now possible to study only a Bachelor's degree, but the university is already considering setting up a master's degree.

Given that the Ministry of Education has granted accreditation to this activity only in January, the deadline for submitting applications to the study of economic journalism has shifted to the end of March. Expected number of accepted applicants for the next academic year would be around 50th

And you need to ensure that you received, do? A necessary condition for acceptance is to write a cover letter. This should be part of your application. Admission itself then has two parts. First you must pass a written test that will test your knowledge of mathematics, foreign language and socio-economic survey. Will be followed by an oral interview, which should be based on candidate motivation letter.
