The unions contend only day strike

President of Czech and Moravian Trade Union of Education Workers Dobsík Frank told reporters that the teachers planned the September strike could last only one day. That suggests at least the union leadership meeting Friday.

President of Czech and Moravian Trade Union of Education Workers Dobsík Frank told reporters that the teachers planned the September strike could last only one day. That suggests at least the union leadership meeting Friday.

Union meeting with the Minister of Education Petra Buzkova hit quite positively. Unions welcomed the efforts of the Ministry of Education, in terms of promoting a more favorable classification of teachers under the new pay system šestnáctitřídního. Buzkova in response to the strike said that the teachers can not promise more money than they were allowed by the government. It also called on trade unions, whether they could provide a striking school children during a strike to watch and have advocated for the September 1 to the school at least prvňáčci, which it is the very first day of school. Dobsík stated that these requirements shall be submitted for consideration at Friday's meeting of trade unions. But I personally think that even the first grade teachers should not be exempted from the strike.

The union has 70,000 members working in education, total over 230,000 people. The intention to hold a warning strike in September, has already announced a competitive Teachers' Trade Union Club, which represents about 5,000 workers education.
