Student riots in France

Pictures of policemen violently intervening against the crowd of students in France seems to many people overlooked. It's just one of many strikes in France? Compared to what our French colleagues storm? On which side it favors the imaginary pendulum of truth?

When the government of Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin came up with a proposal for reform of the labor market, it immediately caused a backlash among college students. The proposal itself – thus facilitating the employees losing their twenty-six years younger than two years after signing the employment contract – can be understood in two ways.

The Prime Minister claims that the company gets rid of fear to hire fresh graduates. The law it was supposed to lead to a reduction in unemployment in France is approximately ten percent (among young people but more than twenty percent).

Opponents of reform argue that the proposal favors older workers at the expense of students. While graduates will work easily, but just as easy for her to come. With the new reform, and the unique labor market dualism – two groups of employees with significantly different conditions.

Students objected to the proposal for numerous demonstrations that were – allegedly brutally – suppressed by police. Emotional footage of the demonstrations French compare to the events of 1968, when student resistance against the reform of education support 10 million people across the country.
