Students, cantors, environmentalists. They all want from now will only sunny days. Solar energy is able to convert a new system based on the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno into electrical energy and completely environmentally friendly way.

Panels that can produce energy, are located on the roof and facade teaching faculty. Their total area is 337 m2. This means that it is the largest solar power plant in the Czech Republic. „In addition, it saves energy from conventional sources, contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions,“ said Peter Brewer of the Physics Department of the Faculty of Education. This faculty has a new environmentally friendly power plant also used for scientific and educational needs. „Students experiences with how to work with natural resources, they can pass it on, so this plant was on teaching faculty,“ said Environment Minister Libor Ambrozek at yesterday's inauguration ceremony of the solar power plant.

The price exceeded the entire plant 19 million. The solar power plant contributed to the state, paid part of Masaryk University.

In the Czech Republic is now in operation a few solar power plants – at technical universities in Ostrava and Liberec, at Charles University. Less experimental power plant that uses solar radiation in Dukovany.
