Special courses for civil servants? Decides to end

The universities might appear new special courses for civil servants. Whether that happens, we will see the end of the year. By that time, the Ministry of Education develop a proposal that would set specific conditions for the functioning of such courses. Its fate, the government will decide.

We are considering two possibilities. Either will create entirely new fields, or is only a partial transformation of existing ones, which are now taught on campus in large numbers, but in different places and sketchy. Today, colleges offer about 70 courses, where students can prepare for action in public administration.

What should the new study programs to teach? The government wants to have good training civil servants prior to 2009, when the Czech Republic takes a scepter in the European Union presidency, and it will also match the content and scope of teaching. It will focus on foreign languages, European issues, work with computers or newly conceived managerial activities.
