Holidays are approaching, hurriedly, and almost every one of us starts to think, what was a few months off loaded. Someone decided to work, while another travel. But why not combine both together and spend an unforgettable life experience called an au-pair! „High School“: http://www.vysokeskoly.cz decided to give you some useful hints and tips, such as au-pairkou (or au-pair) state. So all of you who are considering non-traditional holiday abroad, then please the eye for a moment.

At the beginning it is necessary to clarify, what on earth is the au pair is. Simply put, it's a girl or a boy aged 18 to 26 years (under certain conditions may be even older) who are leaving the country with a view to improving in the local language, know the culture and customs of this country. The shortest possible length of stay is 3 months. Families, however, prefer au pairs who want to stay for a longer period (6 months to 2 years). Au pairs are housed in the family, who help out with child care or the maintenance of the household. In this work, they should also be allowed to attend language courses in this country who either pays an au pair itself or the host family to help them. (An exception in this case, the United States, where there are language courses always paid the full amount of families).

So how and state-pairkou? If you have seriously decided on this „adventure“, you need to carefully choose the country in which you want to go and what's more important – to find the right agency to arrange travel. This step is not underestimated, because many of the offending agency offering a blue of the sky, but mostly behind them something sinister. Therefore, carefully consult the individual agencies and contact the best of those tested.

Then you just simply pick up the phone or personally visit the agency and arrange a meeting with her agent. At this meeting it is necessary to bring the completed questionnaire, which the Agency usually sent in advance. Then it will remain the same – wait until you find a suitable family agency, which of you interested. Sometimes it's a question only a few days, sometimes you have to wait even a month (but in general it is possible to say that the best looking family in the spring and the end of calendar year). If you are lucky and appropriate family for you to find, you just need to have this family in some way to contact (preferably by telephone) and arrange them on the details of travel, accommodation and responsibilities. In most cases, host families give priority to girls, although at present they are increasingly employed as men. Host families are also generally clear that their au pair arrived in the country to learn the language better and know the country. Therefore tend to be very patient and willing to help the new au pair to integrate into the surroundings. So if you are worried about a foreign environment, then believe that the „spare“ your family would be supportive. And at last? Wrap you goodbye native land and go towards new adventures, new friends and especially to the experience priceless!
