Why are students of New Zealanders do not worry about bad marks? What will enrich you study abroad? How can you spend your free time in New Zealand countryside? Not only you can read about it in the continuation of our interview with Veronica Langerová from Opava, that the „island of Lord of the Rings“ the year studied.

** How was teaching in New Zealand? ** Our school was rural and the urban is therefore probably quite different. Upon arrival we had to choose 5 items which we wanted to pay. Teachers exchange students too have not evaluated, because we did not need it. Most of us then repeated that year and it was essential for us to write their tests. For them the exam over a year I do not write much, or not tested. They have given the work that must meet a certain deadline and are a major exam in November.

** Varies the local school system from our own? ** Do not collect stamps, but the credits. Depending on the number of credits you earn in the individual works or small exam, you then release the final písemkám. Does not evaluate the mark, but just those credits. The greater the number of credits obtained for any work, it was better.

** How did you spend your free time? ** So free time I had quite a bit, because I lived in the country. I took them to school by car, because my host mom was one of the teachers. Back I went by bus. As I came back in four hours, I had a day off. But because I lived on a farm, where within a radius of 3 km was nobody else, I helped at home. Nobody forced me, I'm doing it. Ride control over pastures and herds of sheep … I even learned to knit there, embroider and sew. :-)

** What do you see the main benefits? ** The main benefit I see only that I have improved in English, but also how I learned to be alone for themselves. When you leave in less than seventeen per year from his family, friends from school, from things that are automatic for him, so it really moves with him … I never before thought of how I will miss be a newspaper. Just something you have read, understand and just do not have time to think about it. There I learned to rely mainly on themselves, trust only yourself and be independent. Every day I dealt with a situation to be totally trivial, but because I was so far from the beginning and did not have anyone, so it was very difficult. I met there also good friends with whom I am still in contact. Overall, I found it good or bad view of the world and altered my values.

** What would you recommend potential candidates who are thinking about studying abroad? ** Surely it would have to start well and think not to fly into it headfirst. They should realize that there will be alone and that he can rely only on themselves. From the beginning it will be around for them very difficult, but it will improve over time. They should not waste another minute and take advantage of every minute of what will be gone.
