** What is the main goal of the Academic Forum? ** We are especially practical application of unique expertise and skills of educators, researchers and university students in the public space. The activities of the Academic Forum is composed of three pillars. The first one is an expert involvement of experts from universities in consultation Presidency priorities, its implementation and evaluation. The second pillar is the involvement of universities in promoting the presidency. Here we apply the communication and information capacities of universities. A third pillar is personal, logistical and capacity side of things. We want to help in terms of regional and personnel, for example, by selecting „liaison officers“, the students who will accompany the delegation.

** From what institution is composed of the Academic Forum? ** It's an open network whose base consists of eight colleges and universities with departments and the workplace, which has long been devoted to European integration or related fields. These lead to other universities, think tanks and research institutions.

** What are the opportunities to participate in the Academic Forum with students? ** Students are the signature of the Czech Republic, depends upon the position of Czech in the future. The expert consultation is expected to more involvement of doctoral students and teachers. Other students will then ensure the delivery of events, help with promotion and distribution and much more.

** As you work with the government? ** The main partner is the Government, namely the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Alexandr Vondra. Academic Forum, we presented the Committee for European Affairs, Chamber of Deputies, at which members also received support. In the same spirit, we want to cooperate with the Senate and the CR. Natural for us, cooperation with civil society, non-profit organizations, but also the platform from the private sector.

** Academic Forum activity ends with the expiration of our country's presidency of the European Union? ** Our activity, of course, the Czech presidency ends. Topics in which passively enter academia, the comments and reviews, was and is still a lot. I mean, for example, topic entry into the EU, NATO, Schengen, missile base. Academics should be asking how they view as being in the academic community is born and matures expertise research. This trend should be more widespread in the Czech Republic and applied science in order to bring tangible practical results on a larger scale.

** The backbone network of universities Academic Forum: ** University (Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of International Relations) Masaryk University (Faculty of Social Studies, Department of International Relations and European Studies) West University (Faculty of Arts, Department of Politics and International Relations) Palacky University (Faculty of Arts, Department of Political Science and European Studies) University of Economics (Faculty of International Relations, Department of Political Science) University of Hradec Kralove (Faculty of Humanities, Department of Political Science) VŠB – Technical University (Faculty of Economics, Department of European Integration) University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (Faculty of Arts, Department of Political Science and Philosophy)
