Seven of a total of nine faculties at Masaryk University in Brno has prepared this year for candidates to study a little gift: ten minutes to study the test is expected in addition. From 80 minutes that were available to their predecessors, will have to deal with issues exactly an hour and a half.
But this is not the only change – the candidate will also be ready this year, only seven tests instead of eight last year, because the questions examining reasoning and analytical thinking are combined in a new test. The overall structure of the written test will therefore look like this: A test of verbal, symbolic, numerical and critical thinking, visual imagination, reasoning and analytical thinking and cultural overview. Each of these sections will consist of ten questions.
Less pleasant news, then maybe it's just a quarter point deduction for each wrong answer (the correct answer for each candidate receives 1 point, then missed a 0 points).
All these innovations should have according to Vice-Rector for Information Technology, Ivana Černá from Masaryk University in Brno, the only goal: to provide more time for thinking in solving tests and reduce tipping.
Tests of study skills is part of the admission procedure on only two faculties, namely Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Social Studies.
