New branch in Liberec: Biomedical Technology

The new three-year Bachelor's program offers Biomedical Technology from September Technical University of Liberec (TUL). Prepare students for professional biomedical engineer, and his introduction TUL responds to the lack of qualified professionals. „We have reliable indications that the enormous interest in the graduates in this field will not only hospitals but also some top medical center in Prague, such as the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine,“ said Vice-Chancellor TUL Zdenek piece.

A substantial part of the training program will provide the new Institute of Health Studies, in cooperation with Technical University Faculty of Mechatronics and Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies, Faculty of Engineering, educational, and economic fabric. The university will also work with the Regional Hospital Liberec, as well as with experts from the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague, where students will perform part of their professional practice.

Entrance exams, candidates will consist of mathematics, physics and biology, the chance of success is approximately 35 candidates. Applications to study the new field will TUL receive until the end of May 2008.
