Teaching and education are relatively common fields of study, which chooses the Czech students. But there are also people who need special treatment and special care during their training. ** Where ** Special Education Degree program of study can be found in the catalogs of six Czech universities – the University of Palacky in Olomouc, Charles University in Prague, Technical University of Liberec, Hradec Kralove University, Ostrava University and Masaryk University in Brno.

In theory, the study focuses on the basic trends and historical trends in access to the handicapped in comparison with the latest trends within the wider geographic, philosophical and ethical scope. In the practical sphere, the content is directed to diagnostic teaching, educational, didactic, and therapeutic processes usable for all types, grades, types and ages with disabilities. The student acquires certain specific practical skills. As part of the student is acquainted with the latest techniques of alternative and augmentative communication, with application of modern information technology in special education practice, with the development of assistive devices, disability status in the legal system of the Czech Republic, etc. The program of special education often use the following specializations: Psychopedics – special education of persons with mental retardation. Speech therapy – special education of persons with impaired communication skills. Somatopedy – special education of disabled, sick and fragile health. Surdopedie – special education of persons with hearing disabilities. Tyflopedie – special education of persons with visual disabilities. Ethopedy – Special Education psychosocially vulnerable people, disadvantaged and disabled. Educational music therapy – the use of sound and music therapy, and mental and emotional development.

** Application ** Bachelor's degree graduate study is ready to work educational worker who is able to provide assistance in the field of expressive therapeutic procedures in children's homes, gerontological facilities, therapeutic communities and voluntary sector groups, in institutes and after-penal practice and in therapeutic and formative work with children and youth with disabilities.
