British newspaper The Times published yearly ranking of universities worldwide. Who placed this year on the first three places? As a leading Czech universities?
Rating THES (The Times Higher Education Supplement) is compiled by rating the quality of graduates, the ratio of students to staff, and the proportion of foreign students, but also by the number of citations of scientific publications relevant universities.
This year is the American victory against Yale and Harvard University, Cambridge, UK. Indeed, Anglo-Saxon universities are regularly among the top ten. This year has been evaluated 604 universities from around the world. The Czech schools are best placed University, which ranked 261st place (compared to last year's 290th rung is therefore a great success).
