This year pošestnácté launches Training Centre of the Friends of the U.S. – SPUSA a literary contest, this time on „The Lessons ** You've Taught Me (What You taught me )**“. competition is open for Czech and Slovak learners of English who may receive consideration, a short story or poem. The deadline is now May 7, 2009 ** **!
Each submitted work must meet the following conditions:
Work will be judged primarily in terms of their originality and creativity rather than by knowledge of English. Contestants from the first three categories must be native speakers
The competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Embassy and is recommended by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The winners and those who will honestly be appointed, will be announced in the second week in June and www.spusa.cz www.helpforenglish.cz.
** The main prize is a month of study in the UK ** Prices include other locations such as Prague Summer Program at Charles University in Prague, one year of studying English in Prague SPUSA, MP3 player, books, pens, dictionaries, and much more. In addition, all those who fall into the second round, will receive membership in the Literary Club SPUSA.
