After the December protest marches going to university students and their teachers a new wave of actions, which they point out the lack of financing higher education sector.

During the „Week of Unrest,“ which runs from 29 March to 2 April, intending to support academics at the University and the union of Charles University Rector Ivan Wilhelm out onto the streets and hold a major debate with the participation of Finance Minister Sobotka, head of the KDU-CSL and Kalousek, Prime Minister Spidla.

Students and educators disagree with budget increases for universities by 2, 6 billion resort and ask for additional funding. Of this money would then be equipped classrooms and laboratories as well as young teachers and to fund the purchase of new literature. As for the Law Students' Association said the head of the Council of Universities George Nantl, „is absurd, when we work in political science with books ten years old.“

The position of Education Minister Petra Buzkova, however, rather negative. Actions are accordingly irrelevant because an increase of 2.6 billion is only the beginning of university reforms, not reform itself.

According to the Rector of Charles meets the university budget to finance half. Instead of the current 18.6 billion, according to Wilhelm schools should manage 36 billion crowns.
