The most successful students of the University of Economics in Prague may participate in a unique study of the Master „s in International Management, the school provides its graduates. Among the necessary conditions to adopt not only an excellent academic performance but also perfect knowledge of at least two foreign languages, communication skills, good orientation industry, international economic and political situation, the deployment of high learning and healthy ambition. What is CEMS?

Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) is a community of European management schools. Created in 1988 as a merger of academic and business universities ESADE Barcelona, ​​HEC Paris, Universität zu Köln and University Commerciale Luigi. The aim is to link groups of university education with practical skills and experience of managers both at the international level, but also intercultural. Currently has 17 academic members, with each European country can a community represent only one school. This must pass before a rigorous evaluation and approval procedure. Czech Republic in the Winter of 1995, represented the University of Economics, which from the start of training program in 1996, the program has graduated 63 students in its ranks.

In addition to 17 academic members of the CEMS has represented more than 40 large national and multinational companies such as L'Oreal or Hilti. Graduates of the program to not only expand their knowledge in the field, but also, and importantly, gain professional skills. They become able to solve real problems in managerial practice and language skills of foreign residence to enable them to communicate in an international environment. These conditions increase the possibility of their application and are a good springboard for subsequent career development. Companies with which the CEMS works, themselves often seek these graduates because they had a chance to make the performance and flexibility of program participants.

As participation in the program involve?

Those interested in participating in the program through the admissions procedure in the form of the Assessment Centre. The adoption of the program is needed to successfully complete a home university subjects the common basis of studies – Common Body of Knowledge. In other words, the candidate must be a student of Master studies at the University of Economics in Prague.

The studies are block seminars in which students are introduced to new cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives on management, CEMS courses, which include comprehensive case studies, and business projects, which in the course of the semester working internationally comprised student teams. Their task is to develop the skills necessary for managing people and getting practical experience imperative to work in managerial professions. The program includes a mandatory ten-graduation internship in one of the partner companies. The great advantage of the program is the fact that the participants during one semester studying at one of the CEMS member schools abroad, the second semester is completed at the home university. They learn so that each member has the landscape of corporate governance in its specifics, which can later help them to obtain a place in the labor market in the European Union.
