Bachelor and Master courses, concurrent or subsequent to their study and the possibility of transferring

The base consists mainly of higher education Bachelor's and Master's study or Master's. How long this takes time and what their titles can graduates get? It is allowed to switch between the two disciplines within the faculty, or even between two different schools? And what about the fees if the student exceeds the regular period of study or studying another field? The answers to these questions below.

** ** Tertiary study in our schools is divided by the length of study and obtained the title to:

  • ** ** Bachelor: Its standard length is 3 to 4 years, graduates obtain the academic degree of Bachelor (BA) or Bachelor of Arts (BcA.)

Masters – the standard length is 5 to 6 years, graduates gain depending on the study of the academic degree of Magister (Mgr.), MA – Master of Arts), engineer (Ing.), architect, engineer (Ing. arch), a medical doctor (MD), Doctor of Dental Medicine (MDDr.), Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (MVDr.)
  • After successful passing of all part of the „rigorous examination“: http://www.vysokeskoly.cz/…ozni-zkouska graduates can continue according to the study to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Laws (JUDr.), Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. .), Doctor of Science (RNDr.), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmDr.), Licentiate of Theology (ThLic.) or Doctor of Theology (ThDr.)

  • Higher Education Act allows for the possibility of studying two different disciplines ** ** at once (for such studies are not two-subject study)
  • Exceeding the statutory period of study, however, fees associated with ** for further study or longer **
  • Act directly says: * „If a graduate student of bachelor or master degree program in another bachelor or master degree programs, the public high school tuition fee, which makes for every further year of study up basis pursuant to paragraph 2, except: , a graduate of Bachelor's degree program in the Master's program or in the case of several regular study programs exceeding the standard period of study program to one. If the total length of additional studies exceed the standard period of study, the public high school tuition fees in accordance with paragraph 3 “*

** When can therefore expect such as payment of the fee? **

  • Here are a few model situations for example ** Bachelor's degree with good length of three years **:

  • If the student is studying two study programs with the proper period of study for three years and both studies ** ** four years, then for that, ** in which shall be entered as the second **, after the standard period of study pay back fee ** longer study ** (again start from § 58 of the Higher Education Act: „if the total length of additional studies exceed the standard period of study, the public high school tuition fees in accordance with paragraph 3“ *)
  • ** If a student in second or third year of study boards to study another degree program ** will have after the successful completion of the first studies to pay the fee ** ** further study, even though they both successfully completed in due time study
  • ** If the student is studying two courses and one of them terminates unsuccessfully ** (the study is completed according to § 56 of his leaving or failure to meet the requirements of the study program according to the Study and Examination Regulations), plus he ** this time failed to study the time ** studio, which is still ongoing, and if this sum exceeds the standard ** time study plus one year **, he is assessed a fee for a longer study ** **
  • Concerning the assessment of tuition fees, the student can appeal ** **, and assessment of the reasons for the „dean“: http://www.vysokeskoly.cz/…/heslo/dekan faculty and „Rector“: http: / / www.vysokeskoly.cz / academically-dictionary / password / rector of the university, the Rector may in justified cases, the fee waived or reduced payment schedule set
