This year the sixth expedition of scientists to the Arctic, organized by University of South Bohemia – Faculty of Science, in collaboration with other experts, was 18 September 2010 completed the last arrival of the participants back to Bohemia. We bring the latest, the third part of a statement that the expedition prepared authentically from places of their research.

The third section VI. Arctic scientific expedition, Faculty of Science University of South Bohemia in the Czech Budejovice traveled to the Arctic in the two groups. Zoological – parasitological group (Oleg Dietrich and Thomas Tyml) flew on the 30th July, along with photographer Alexander Pospěch then expected last year's residents station: Botanical Alena Bartosova, paleobotanical Alexander Bernard, Otakar algologa Struneckého and physiologists John Kvíderová Tashyrevu and Daria, who flew on the 20th August.
Left Kvíderová John, Thomas Tyml, Ota Strunecká, Pospech Sasha, Sasha Bernard, Alena Bartosova, Oleg Dietrich and Darja Tashyreva.
Physiologists completed the experiments described in the first report, we managed to catch and end the growing season, when it was frozen tundra (Fig. 2).
Ota Strunecká and Sasha Bernard focused on places where even after drying tundra remaining remnants of freshwater and tried to gather in neighborhood „hot vents“, for which even made a trip to Ny Alesund. Samples removed, but found that the sources are in fact only a few degrees warmer than the surrounding water. Yet it will be interesting to analysis the samples to determine whether their neighborhood could be refuge for organisms in colder times. When obtaining soil profiles with Sasha to get permafrost (Fig. 3).
Parazitologové focus on the trematode family Gymnophalidae, which among other things, studied the manipulation of intermediate host behavior and family Opecoelidae trematodes that parasitize the fish. The fish in the toils chytaných (Fig. 4 and 5) and marine invertebrates collected at the bottom (Fig. 6) to the depths třicetimetrových also looking unicellular parasites, especially amoebae, myxosporidie, ciliate and members of lesser-known groups, founded a number of cultures amoeba, which transferred in Bohemia.

When collecting material, scientists had to contend with the local fauna: Seals liked easy prey caught in the toils and insurmountable obstacle to catch seabirds (kajek) to ornithological nets were buřňáci who are caught in unmanageable quantities.
Despite all předkážky managed to collect a considerable amount of material and data that are already processed since the last group on 18 returned in September 2010 in order to Bohemia.
