COMPARISON OF COURSES: Cybernetics

University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Applied Sciences: Study of Cybernetics and Control Engineering

Course characteristics ==== ==== This is a three-year Bachelor degree, you can study full-time or combined form. Study is conducted under the Applied Science and Science and students may engage in follow-up program of the same name Master (Ing.). And later specialized doctoral studies.

==== Contents of studies

The study is focused on process control technology and non-technical (economics, ecology, medicine, etc.), the control system designs and applications of artificial intelligence. Theory (specializations in automatic control, information and control systems, artificial intelligence, Biocybernetics and Mechatronics and Automation) is supplemented by a mandatory practice.

Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering: Cybernetics and robotics

Characteristics of subjects ==== ==== This is a three-year undergraduate program that offers three areas: management systems, robotics and sensors and instrumentation. Students may engage in two-year Master's study, which also offers study aerospace systems. Fields can be studied in full-time and combined form.

==== Contents of studies

The program covers a large area of ​​modern cyber-processing technology from the software and hardware aspects. Field systems and control systems theory and teaching methods of automatic control. Field Robotics seeks a comprehensive view of the robotic systems, their composition, design and management. Field Sensors and Process Control covers the collection, measurement, processing and transmission of electric and nonelectric quantities for the needs of automation and robotics. The studies include work in labs and independent projects, or. participation in research and in student competitions.

Course characteristics ==== ==== This is a two-year follow-up Master Study Programme in Electrical, Electronics, Communication and Control Technologies. Field can be studied and combined premises.

==== Contents of studies

Students gain knowledge in design and application usage measurement, control and automation systems in the industrial area. During the study, one may focus on measurement, automatic control, robotics, applied computer science, industrial computer networks, principles of artificial intelligence and industrial automation systems. The study is a two-week professional practice, or. stay at a foreign university.

Requirements ==== for entrance exams

Candidates carry out a written test which takes 75 minutes. It consists of 10 examples of the five thematic areas (Electrical Engineering 1, 2 Electrical, Electronic components, signals, systems, systems, Electrical Measurement). Applicants who have completed Bachelor's Degree Programme Electrical, Electronic, Communication and Control Technology at FIT BUT study with a weighted average of better than or equal to 2.00, the entrance examination waived.
