Higher education budget next year, "it meets" a billion

Ministry of Education announced that next year, thanks to good economic situation of the country's budget compared to original expectations reinforced by 1 billion. This amount Ministry plans to assign full high schools. This was stated last week on its Web site.

  • „We agree with the Prime Minister Necas and the Czech Rectors Conference, that these funds will go to strengthen the university budget,“ said Minister of Education * Josef Dobes.

Higher education budget for 2011 but, despite these increases is expected to decline by 1.3 billion. The missing amount in the budget of universities Ministry of Education will cover from the funds of the European Union. This money should enhance the quality of the university and will not go into the operative part of the budget.
