Do you enjoy the web, photos, video or graphics? Or a little of everything and you would like after school, well applied? Contact your attention to a new field that combines art, economics and management in a dynamic and effective whole.
„Multimedia in economic practice“ is a bachelor, which allows students to choose a narrower specialization according to their own interest. The aim of the study is to gain the ability to creatively design and implement a variety of multimedia products (graphics, video, photo, web) for the specific needs of corporate communications. After completing his studies should be fully equipped to graduate practice, but may continue in a master information technology industry or economic focus.
Courses === === All students must take subjects common to the whole faculty, which include law, economics, mathematics, statistics, finance and foreign languages. Students also required to attend field courses focusing on art history, photography, sound, audio-visual communications, web design, 2D and 3D graphics, copyright and presentation skills. Students also have the option to choose from a variety of elective courses and additional qualifications such as dealing with accounting, marketing, databases, sociology or rhetoric. Practice in the multimedia lab is a natural part of teaching.
Creative and practical – such is a new field
Branch, entitled "Multimedia in economic practice is open only at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, University of Economics in Prague. Similarly oriented industries can be found at Czech universities more. None, however, focus on networking of multimedia and economic perspective that will enable graduates to better orientation in professional life. University of West Bohemia in Pilsen offers study Multimedia Design (Institute of Art and Design), University of Hradec Kralove field of graphic design – multimedia (Faculty), Czech Technical University in Prague offers fields of multimedia and Web and Multimedia Technology (Faculty of Electrical Engineering), University of Technology Brno offers fields of Fine Arts – Video – Multimedia – Performance (Faculty of Fine Arts) and the Computer Graphics and Multimedia and Web and multimedia (Faculty of Information Technology). Tomas Bata University in Zlín offers industry Multimedia & Design (Faculty of Multimedia Communications) and the Silesian University in Opava study Multimedia Technology (Philosophy and Science)
Graduate can apply throughout the chain of multimedia product from the management, marketing and PR to technical professions such as graphic designer, evaluator orders, webmaster, project manager, multimedia journalist, editor, sound designer or creator of user interfaces.
The entrance examination consists of tests in mathematics and secondary-level foreign language. Successful candidates will be invited for further interview focused on the motivation to study. Expected number of accepted applicants is 60
