One of the largest European student competition in the natural sciences (EUSO) this year on 10 to 16 April hosts the Czech Republic and co-hosted the 9th this year's prestigious 120 young talents in Europe for 17 years is also a Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice.
To 9 European year of EUSO Science Olympiad, held on 10 to 16 April in the Czech Republic has registered 120 participants from 20 European countries. In each country seem to always be two competing teams, including the Czech Republic is represented by six high school students. Hosts of these events happened three renowned Czech universities: University of Pardubice, Charles University and the University of Hradec Kralove.
Participants in the Olympics will begin in the Czech Republic already flock on Sunday 10 April. Accommodation and cultural programs for them, the organizers will ensure competition in cooperation with the Hradec Králové region in cooperation with the statutory town of Hradec Kralove and Pardubice.
** The actual competition will be officially launched on Monday 11 April at 10:00 am at the University of Pardubice in the Auditorium of Ernest of Pardubice **. Participants welcomed the Rector Professor, University of Pardubice. Ing. Miroslav Ludwig, PhD. the President and founder Dr. EUSO. Michael Cotter, organizing a Faculty of Chemical Technology Assoc. Ing. Peter Mošner, Dr. Dean of the Faculty. Individual states will present a presentation by Assoc. Ing. Jan Cerny, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Charles University.
The EUSO competition will be a one-day conference of experts on EU issues and the search for talented students in developing science, which takes place on 14 April in the training center CEZ – small hydro power plants in Hradec Kralove Hučák.

The main competition organizers are the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, Faculty of Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education and Science, University of Hradec Kralove.
The first edition of European science olympiad European Union Science Olympiad (EUSO) took place in 2003. The founder of the competition is dr. Michael Cotter from Dublin City University, who came up with the idea of organizing an international competition for natural science students under the age of 17 years. This is a multidisciplinary team competition that combines the discipline of science and engineering sciences, particularly physics, chemistry and biology. Always respects the age of students, content and duration of their studies.
EUSO is trying to arouse interest in studying science for as many young people, develops creativity and teamwork to solve problems, in addition also promotes research careers of talented young students and improve science education at national levels.
