Another successful conference for us, the organizers reported ...

Press news

Broad expertise in the field of public sources of energy are met in the village near Brno Hrotovice. Here, organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Brno University of Technology already 32nd Annual International Conference – Unconventional sources of energy. This year brought together more than 60 experts, scientists, but also representatives of companies and the media.

For three days the hotel was one of SPORT-V Hrotovice professionals with a focus on alternative sources of electric energy from the Republic and other Central European countries. * „This year was very successful, we are pleased that the number of participants continues to increase, and personally I like the trend is the involvement of young PhD students in scientific conferences and of scientific activity,“ * praises the main conference organizer ** Assoc. Ing. Peter Bacau, PhD .**, chairman of the organizing committee and secretary of the Institute of Electrotechnology FEEC BUT. The conference brought together more than 60 participants, came to discuss professional topics of nearly 20 foreign guests, especially from England and Slovakia * „This year we also had a high percentage of women in Parliament, which is not the full habit,“ added with a smile * ** Assoc. Bača **. The biggest personalities of the conference were Prof.. Markvart (University of Southampton, England), Assoc. Dostal (Žilina University), dr. Weaver (Technical University of Kosice).

The conference took place in several sections, which turns a single speaker. The first section was focused on an overview of innovations in science, research, development and legislation of unconventional sources of energy. Ddalší presentation focused on the comparison of several variants of use of energy sources, comparing the pros and cons. Although the stop state and the construction of large photovoltaic plants in the CR has lasted almost a year, was paid great attention to photovoltaics and found that the contribution of photovoltaics combined with other sources of electrical power systems and for accumulation of energy produced. Significant here was also a supporter of fractions of nuclear energy, hydro power, battery systems, etc. * "All voices and opinions were very interesting, it is interesting to see how it develops an overall view of the power supply. Each lecture has brought something new, generated ideas, which is necessary to think, "adds * ** Assoc. Bača **. The space used for the presentation of eight partner companies that presented their innovations and visions for the future development of electricity sources.

The conference was mentioned a total of 29 posts, 12 posts of primary research, 8 from the field of applied research, 9 review articles, comparative and commercial contributions. Contributions from the primary research is mainly devoted to problems of electrochemical sources, applied research has been focused on the combined systems, fuel cells, the support systems for managing and recording the activities of energy sources.

The conference also hid a very interesting possibility of the accompanying program. * "Accompanying the program determined the participants of the conference in person this year, when the website voted for one of the options. This year, winning tour hydroelectric power plant in Dalešice. Just out of curiosity: In the Czech Republic are the only three hydroelectric power plants and we visited one of them. I think all participants had to leave satisfied. The program was dynamic, the conference had momentum and I believe that people and fun. Conference is also an informal gathering of people who can not see all year. In addition, the perfect environment and facilities, we were able to create, completes a nice feeling of those few days we spent here, "added * ** Assoc. Bača **.

Big thanks to both the Organising Committee, headed by Assoc. Baco, but also the ** Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Brno University of Technology ** and ** ** Czech Electrotechnical Society, conference partners – the company ** MEGA – energetic Measuring Devices, Inc., Phoenix-Zeppelin, spol. Ltd., as UNIS, PDT BRNO as, PHOENIX CONTACT, sro SIGMA-ALDRICH spol. Ltd., ENVINET, Photon Engineering Ltd. ** Media supported the event ** MEP Info CHEMagazín, Tech Weekly, Energy 21, Pro-Energy Magazine, Brno Business Eltech 2010, ETM,, Golden Flash, Electrical, electrician and the journal Technology and Market **.

The overall satisfaction with the course of the conference shows the final words of Chief „Captain“: * „thirty-two year's conference Unconventional sources of electrical energy is dead, long live the year thirty-three,“ * concluded the conference with a smile ** Assoc. Bača **.

The entire conference can also watch other interested parties on the social networking site Facebook, where it was transmitted online coverage of this event. All lectures and presentations Faculty also publishes electronically on CD. Next year this important event will be held in September 2012.

** Information about the faculty **: Electrotechnical disciplines were first at the University of Technology, BUT the first time already in 1905. Since 1959, when it was founded as an independent faculty of energy, which later transformed into the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, has successfully completed engineering studies at our faculty of over 23 000 graduates. In 2001 the present name of Science – Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technology (FIT) and a year later acquired the accreditation of new modern-ranging study programs in a structured study. The faculty has more than 4,400 students in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. Studying at the faculty is focused on a wide range of scientific areas: control technology and robotics, biomedical engineering, power engineering and electronics, electrotechnology and electronics, microelectronics, and Radioelectronics Teleinformatics.
