Ministry promises higher budgets for universities

High School, according to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) can in the coming years will experience increased budgets. Although in 2012 will receive a total of 1.2 billion less from the state budget, they said to expect a contribution from the EU co-financed programs. This was stated by Education Minister Josef Dobes.

In Europe, according to sources it will go into the Czech higher education to 40 billion. At the same time it will be around 30 billion that can get in the next three years in the projects approved Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovations. For further support, amounting to about 1.1 billion, they can get from the project intended to modernize the overall infrastructure of universities and other milirada could then arise from the challenges of pre-seed funds (ie funds channeled to the creation and support of new entities). The projects announced Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness, the Ministry expects the other about 7 billion.

With some savings this year the Ministry also plans to also support more doctoral students and postdocs workers in positions on Prague's public universities. Additional funds to schools, the Ministry set aside by the newly established Excellence program, whose budget includes approximately 1 billion crowns from which it wants to fund the best college.
