Lack of interest on the selected field, inability to cope with curriculum, teaching a different way than in high school, excessive demands of examiners, the lack of high school preparation, poor selection of faculty, little support from teachers and poor training and lectures are the main reasons for losing their high school. It results from surveys in 11 faculties in the Republic, which presented Helen Sebkova of the Center for the Study of Higher Education and Josef Benes from the Ministry of Education as part of talks on the conditions of study at university.
